Chemdawg vs OG Kush

OG Kush is often called a Chemdawg descendant, but the link is unproven: Leafly lists Chemdawg among its parents, High Times calls the story a legend, and Chemdog himself says the two are related but that OG Kush is not Chemdog’s offspring.1,2,3 In state labs Chemdawg tests higher, 22.94% median THC against 20.87%, and both lead with the same three terpenes in the same order.4

The family that may connect them

High Times ranks OG Kush first and Chem Dog fifth on its list of the 25 greatest strains of all time.7 Whatever the parentage, the two have been crossed: Leafly lists OG Chem (OG Kush × Chemdawg) and Headband, a cross of OG Kush and Chemdawg’s child Sour Diesel.8,9 OG Kush’s other listed parent, Hindu Kush, has its own guide in the Official Cannabis network at hindukush.com.1
